"Don't you dare call him that!" Isabel shot back, clutching her head as the other employees kept going towards the containment unit. "He… he's beautiful. He's not difficult to deal with like the other Abnormalities, he's not a pain in the ass, and I know he's-

This is like Knight of Despair fans going "I can fix her, I swear!"

Ah mushrooms, potentially awful in real life. Terrifying in fiction.
I am confused on what revelation Alphonse is heading towards with the realization that Benjamin knows about old myths. I assume I missed something about what information is hidden from him. It either has something to do with realizing he's on earth, or something else about the city. I don't have enough knowledge on the lobotomy corporation universe to know.

One thing about the City is its total disconnection of history.
We do not know how it started. How it got to here and is the history of the former humanity the same as ours.
For all intents and purposes there is no history of the city. The history do not matter in the city for everyone just ignores what happens in the past and moves on anyway,.
yet the Legends, myths, those that are meaningless without context provided by history remained, in abnormality, thoughts, nd hear say...so how? how are they still around?
Religion has been directly stated to be meaningless and mostly disregarded and abandoned by The City, yet from the abnormalities we can clearly see religion as an idea remain, Story for those religion remained.

So why does the culture remain when history is nothing but blanks?
There is something deeply wrong with this world.

"That's always been part of it all." Benjamin, having taken a moment, continued, "The… architect of this plan, he knew that the person you once were would never be able to achieve this, not as he was, a blank canvas was better than painting that was rescued from a fire with countless imperfections marring its surface."

Don't know Lobotomy lore deep, but it's morbidly amusing that L-Corp was named that because their founder lobotomized himself for the Greater Goal

The manager is coming ever closer to the turth, unpleasant as it may be...

First WAW it went about as well as you'd expect, but still he seems to be getting the hang of things.

The best explanation I've seen has to do with the Abnormalities/Singularities being intrinsically tied to the Akashic Records.

I guess ideas never die even if they are forgotten. The humanity in project moon has abandoned God and God has vise Versa abandoned humanity.

But deep down the emotions , ideas and expressions of the old times still continue to exist in the noospere of the World. Almost all humans have fully removed there spritual ties to the greater universe and culture that make them human still continued to fester in corners of tiny parts of this godless and satenless world.

Due to the establishment of "realities" by the corporations to supplement the dead human spiritual force has started to Mendel with the noospere and as a result the expressions, cultures and emotions of the old time are literally taking physical form.

The humans of project moon universe are only human by biological but even that is changing as the humanity is becoming less human day by day ...both physically and mentally.

There is nothing ..not even tint of human morality left in the artificial nightmare of the City humanity as a whole as a Idea is certainly mostly dead in most of its denizens. Replaced by something that doesn't make sense and is only corroding them further day by day.. reaching to a point where they would no longer have anything related to the ideal of humanity.

That's a true distopia..your entire existence itself is getting changed for the profit of a few and there would be a point where you will break down on your own..like a old worm who has reached it's usefulness in the field.

The ideas are now independent...the cultures that you abandoned are now living breathing creatures..the faiths that you threw away like a used bubble gum are coming back alive on there own some have come back to try and prevent the disaster that will engulf the entire humanity while most have come to seek your destruction as they consider death a mercy to you rather than this false existence...

That's what we call true existential cosmic horror.

I kinda thought it was because typical city folks are "dumb". You aren't going to go research myths and legends when 1, no way of learning information. 2, death everywhere. 3, no interest. Upper management on the other hand probably went to school or had time to read books or something.
