Student Ticket Policy - App State Athletics (2024)

? Enrolled Appalachian State University students who pay athletic fees as part of their tuition are eligible for one (1) free ticket for themselves to each home football, home basketball, and home volleyball game or match. Distance learning students do not pay athletic fees as part of their tuition and therefore are not eligible for this program. To become eligible, distance learning students may pay the student fee by contacting the Office of Student Accounts at (828) 262-2113. If you have any questions about eligibility, contact the Registrar's Office during regular business hours, 8-5 Monday ? Friday.

? Students have secure accounts and can manage the account, print the student ticket, purchase student paid guest tickets (2 per home game) while supplies last, track their attendance history, view their Loyalty Point Total, and cancel a ticket.

? For the 2008-09 athletic year, students who are enrolled and pay athletic fees are eligible. Tickets distributed may exceed the available seating for an event. Student ticketing is not limited as it is at other universities but is still a privilege. (Guest tickets are subject to availability.) To insure this practice continues, students must sit in designated general admission seating areas (Lower Bleacher Seats on the West Side of Kidd Brewer Stadium, East Side sections 112, 113, 114, 217, and 218 and the hill in the South end zone under the scoreboard of Kidd Brewer Stadium and Sections 1-6 of the Holmes Convocation Center) and adhere to all athletic venue policies and the University Student Code of Conduct.

? Students must have a ticket to enter an Appalachian Football, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Baseball game, or Volleyball match. These tickets have a unique barcode that is scanned upon entry to an event and cannot be duplicated. Student tickets are non-transferable. Student attempting to sell, buy or transfer complimentary student tickets will be referred to the Office of Student Judicial Affairs (refer to the Academic Integrity Code of the Code of Student Conduct.)

Online Ticket Distribution
? Students may access student ticketing through GoASU.com.
? Students login by using their student ID number and a unique password. (First time users sign in as “Guest” as password, and will then be asked to change it, so that it is unique to your account.)
? By registering for tickets, students consent to receive emails related to their ticket requests. Students can elect to stop receiving emails regarding additional athletic events by checking the “disable emails” button under their Student Status information on the Student Information page. Students will then only receive emails pertaining to their ticket requests.
? Students can then claim their ticket, purchase up to two (2) paid guest tickets for a selected home event while supplies last and print these tickets. Student tickets and paid guest tickets are not available until the week of that event. The schedule for claiming and purchasing guest tickets is listed below.

? In the event that a lottery is instituted to control student ticketing for any home events at Kidd Brewer Stadium, a two day registration period will precede the claim period with tickets being rewarded to those students who have accumulated the most loyalty points. No lottery is planned for the 2008 Football season.
? There are NO refunds or exchanges for paid guest tickets.

Loyalty Points
? Students accumulate loyalty points in a variety of ways. Attending home athletic events is the easiest way to build your point total. Students must have their ticket barcode scanned at the student entrance of Kidd Brewer Stadium for a football game or any available entrance of the Holmes Convocation Center for a basketball game or volleyball match or at the gate at Smith Stadium for a baseball game.
? For Football, student tickets can be claimed at any time prior to kickoff. Guest tickets must be claimed by 11:59 pm the day before the game. Paid guest tickets CAN NOT be purchased the day of the game. Your guest would have to pay full price ($27) for their ticket.
? For men's and women's basketball, baseball and volleyball, tickets can be claimed and printed up to start time of the event.
? The Student gates at Kidd Brewer Stadium and the Holmes Convocation Center close at the beginning of halftime. Student gates at Smith Stadium for baseball games will close at the end of the 3rd inning. You may still enter the game but no loyalty points will be awarded.

Student Admission
? Admission to Football, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Baseball games and Volleyball matches requires students to present a valid student ticket and a valid ASU Student ID.
? Each student ticket has a printed barcode (1 of 30,000,000 per game) that is unique for that ticket and the name of the student.
? Student tickets are non-transferable and may not be duplicated, bought, sold to other students or non-students. In the event that a ticket is duplicated, only the first ticket through the gate will be admitted, all others will be denied entry.
? All student tickets and student paid guest tickets are for General Admission seating in Kidd Brewer Stadium for football and the Holmes Convocation Center for Men's and Women's basketball, baseball games and volleyball matches.

? Violations that may result in the student being referred to the OSJA include but are not limited to:

? Sale of Student tickets.
? Duplicating or intentionally altering student tickets
? Presenting a fake, replicated or altered ASU ID, or the use of an ASU Student ID of another student.
? Unauthorized access to the online student ticketing system.
